Beth W. Cooper

Ms. Cooper was appointed Executive Vice President in 2019 and has served as our Chief Financial Officer since September 2008, Treasurer since 2022 and Assistant Corporate Secretary since 2015. She joined the Company in 1990 and since that time has served as Senior Vice President, Vice President, Treasurer, Corporate Secretary, Assistant Treasurer, Director of Internal Audit and Director of Strategic Planning. Ms. Cooper oversees general accounting, procurement, income taxes, financial reporting, treasury, investor relations, financial planning and analysis and strategic modeling and analysis. She is a member of the American Gas Association, where she currently serves on and is past chair of the Finance Committee. Ms. Cooper is also a member of the Board of Trustees and a member of the Visiting Audit and Finance committees of the University of Delaware, a member of the Board of Directors of Bayhealth Corporation and its Business and Investment Committee and a member of the Salisbury University Perdue School Advisory Council. Ms. Cooper was recognized in Women in Leadership 2023, published by The Forum of Executive Women. She is also Executive Sponsor of Chesapeake Utilities’ Women in Energy employee resource group, which celebrates expertise, dedication and success within the energy industry and the Company. Ms. Cooper was previously an auditor with Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneurial Services Group.
