School Mentor Program Enrollment
The Chesapeake Cares Mentor Program empowers our employees to make a positive impact on the lives of local students by volunteering up to one hour a week to spend time mentoring a classroom of students or one-on-one with a student, guiding them to a bright future. Spouses* and significant others are also invited to participate. This small and consistent amount of time devoted to caring about a youth has the potential to create a lifelong, positive difference in both of your lives.
*Spouses are responsible for arranging their own PTO with their employer for mentorship activities. Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is not responsible for any financial reimbursement related to PTO or missed work for spouses.

Connecting Generations is a Delaware-based nonprofit that supports more than 1,800 mentors throughout 94 mentoring programs reaching 4,400 students in Delaware schools. Our partnership offers employees a unique opportunity to volunteer up to one hour per week during school to spend one-on-one time with a student.

Junior Achievement pairs mentees and mentors in the classroom, inspiring and preparing young people to succeed locally and in the global economy. Employees commit to a 5-12 week curriculum, providing up to one hour per week. Volunteers may choose from as many curriculums as they would like, based on availability.
We currently offer Junior Achievement virtual volunteer opportunities companywide in Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
