DOVER, Del. – Chesapeake Utilities Corporation (NYSE: CPK) has announced the recipients of its 2022 Aspiring Scholars awards. The program supports graduating high school seniors who are the children of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation employees. Scholarship applicants must be accepted into a full-time degree or certificate program at an accredited college, university or technical school for the upcoming academic year. Awards are based on each applicant’s academic record, extracurricular accomplishments, student essays, leadership qualities, work experience, citizenship, community involvement and letters of recommendation. Selected scholarship recipients receive a $2,000 scholarship to apply toward their studies.
2022 Chesapeake Utilities Corporation Aspiring Scholars:
Alex Avila, child of Yvette Avila, is a graduate of Smyrna High School in Smyrna Delaware and will attend Widener University.
Dylan Carroll, child of Danita Carroll, is a graduate of Wicomico High School in Salisbury, Maryland and will attend Indiana Tech.
Zack Clausius, child of Jenn Clausius, is a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes, Delaware and will attend the Pennsylvania State University.
Ella Clevens, child of Michael Clevens, is a graduate of Tower Hill School in Wilmington, Delaware and will attend Rochester Institute of Technology.
Joshua Larmonie, child of Claude Larmonie, is a graduate of Seminole Ridge Community High School in Westlake, Florida and will attend Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Daniel Mays, child of Eric Mays, is a graduate of Middletown High School in Middletown, Delaware and will attend the University of Delaware.
Erika Onsomu, child of Philip Onsomu, is a graduate of Polytech High School in Woodside, Delaware and will attend the University of Maryland.
Nathaniel Pearson, child of Eric Pearson, is a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School in Wyoming, Delaware and will attend the University of Delaware.
Gabrielle Petro, child of John Petro, is a graduate of the First Military Academy in Clayton, Delaware and will attend the University of Delaware.
Sarah Richardson, child of David Richardson, is a graduate of Camden County High School in Kingsland, Georgia and will attend the Georgia College and State University.
Joseph Wilson, child of Mark Wilson, is a graduate of Dover High School in Dover Delaware and will attend the Delaware State University.
