CHESAPEAKE UTILITIES SEEKS APPROVAL TO REDUCE NATURAL GAS RATES FOR DELAWARE CUSTOMERS – Price Decrease Would Mean Lowest Customer Prices in Six Years

Natural gas prices for Chesapeake Utilities’ residential customers could decrease by 18 percent if the Delaware Public Service Commission approves the request. The Company filed an application to reduce its Gas Sales Service Rates for Delaware customers on September 4, 2009, and has requested the rate change to be effective for service rendered on or after November 1, 2009.

CHESAPEAKE UTILITIES INTRODUCES NATURAL GAS TO GEORGETOWN, DELAWARE

Chesapeake Utilities today announced the introduction of natural gas to Georgetown, Delaware. A ribbon-cutting ceremony earlier this afternoon on the Owens Campus of Delaware Technical & Community College (Delaware Tech) celebrated the much anticipated arrival of natural gas in the Georgetown area.
