Yulee, Fla. – Florida Public Utilities (FPU) and Sharp Energy, subsidiaries of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation, are actively monitoring and preparing for Tropical Storm Nicole, which is expected to impact the companies’ service territories. Both companies are adjusting Company staffing and preparing electric, natural gas and propane personnel in Florida and in our service areas outside of Florida to respond to any potential service interruptions that may result from heavy rain and high wind gusts from the storm. Sharp Energy Expands Further into North Carolina with new Sharp AutoGas Fueling Station
DOVER, Del. – Chesapeake Utilities Corporation (NYSE: CPK) subsidiary Sharp Energy celebrated the opening of a new fueling station in Dunn, North Carolina, on Wednesday, Sept. 14, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The facility is the first Sharp AutoGas fueling station dispensing propane autogas in North Carolina. The newly constructed fueling station is located at 17220 U.S. Route 421 in Dunn, North Carolina, and is one of 60 propane fueling stations operated by Sharp AutoGas. DOVER, Del. – Chesapeake Utilities Corporation (NYSE: CPK) announced today that its propane subsidiary, Sharp Energy, has acquired the propane operating assets of Davenport Energy’s Siler City propane division. Through this acquisition, the Company expands its operating footprint further into North Carolina, where customers will be served by Sharp Energy’s Diversified Energy division.
