Joseph D. Steinmetz

Mr. Steinmetz was promoted to Vice President and Controller of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation in 2019. He is responsible for general and regulatory accounting and the Company’s financial shared services. He was appointed to Assistant Vice President of Internal Audit in 2015, and joined the Company in 2003 as Director of Internal Audit. He has held various other positions within the Company, such as Corporate Controller and Director of Financial Reporting. Mr. Steinmetz successfully navigated the Company through the Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) and the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function as well as other key processes where risks are identified. He has 16 years of Auditing experience.
