Chesapeake is committed to conducting business employing the same strong ethical standards that have been practiced throughout the organization for many years. This commitment includes ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
In order to maintain the highest level of standards, Chesapeake provides multiple avenues for reporting concerns of improper business conduct. Improper business conduct includes any violation of or inappropriate behavior related to: i) applicable laws, rules and regulations; ii) the Company’s Business Code of Ethics and Conduct (as well as the Code of Ethics for Financial Officers); and iii) accounting, internal accounting controls or auditing matters. Employees and non-employees may anonymously report a concern regarding improper business conduct using either a toll-free hotline, or a secure website that is hosted by an independent organization, or by submitting written correspondence to the Director of Internal Audit. All concerns are investigated under the direction of the Chairman of the Audit Committee.
