DOVER, DE – Chesapeake Utilities Corporation (NYSE: CPK) announced today the appointment of Joe Steinmetz to Vice President and Controller. In his new role, Mr. Steinmetz will report directly to Beth Cooper, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Corporate Secretary of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation.

I’m excited to be working with him to drive innovation, enhance our capabilities and business partnerships, and streamline accounting processes throughout the Company,” said Ms. Cooper. “Joe’s strengths as a change agent will be a significant benefit in his new role.”
Mr. Steinmetz joined Chesapeake Utilities Corporation in 2003. During his 16-year career with the Company, he has served in various capacities including most recently as Assistant Vice President of Internal Audit. Mr. Steinmetz continually expanded the capabilities of the Internal Audit function, partnering with the Company’s business units and corporate teams to assist in identifying and implementing process improvements, completing impactful operational audits, and increasing the scope of support that the Internal Audit team provides to external auditors. Under Mr. Steinmetz’s leadership, the Company has expanded the breadth and depth of the organization’s Enterprise Risk Management program, which serves as one barometer for organizational risk analysis.
In October of 2018, Mr. Steinmetz assumed the role of Interim Controller and led the Accounting organization through the year-end audit process, including implementing improvements in the close process and enhancements to the Company’s external financial reports.
