Dover, Delaware — Chesapeake Utilities Corporation (NYSE: CPK) today announced the launch of the Chesapeake Cares holiday program partnership with the Food Bank of Delaware. As part of this initiative, the Company and the Food Bank of Delaware (FBD) will provide food and supplies to Delaware families facing hardship this holiday season. Chesapeake employees and family members are volunteering to collect food and gifts to assemble 600 care packages, distributing them to the community on December 17th and 18th in Dover and Georgetown.

“This is something that we as a company and our employees want to do to help our communities that are in need,” commented Michael P. McMasters, President & CEO of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation. “We live and work in these communities, and our commitment to them extends beyond simply meeting the energy needs of businesses and residents.”

“We are thrilled to partner with Chesapeake Utilities Corporation to support the Chesapeake Cares holiday program,” commented Chad Robinson, Milford Branch Director of the Food Bank of Delaware. “Chesapeake shares our goals and aspirations to make the holidays a happy and memorable time for those in our community, and we are confident that our partnership will make a tremendous difference for families this holiday season. It is great to have a local company proactively seek us out and have its employees actively engage with community members. We could not spread the holiday cheer this season to people in need without their help.”
